Some experiences in life are so painful, they cause deep and lasting suffering. That suffering is what we call “trauma.” Trauma is a deep wound of the heart and mind that takes a long time to heal. It hurts every part of us: our relationships, our bodies, our thoughts, and our faith. Suffering is part of the human experience, in every age and in every part of the world. We are all vulnerable to trauma.
But God is with everyone who suffers. God feels our pain with us, and God wants to help us heal.
Give $350 to help launch high impact trauma healing ministries where they are needed most, by sponsoring the training of one Bible-based healing group facilitator.
“Bible-based Trauma Healing is one of the most effective tools we all have to bring hope and healing to our family, friends and neighbors who might be suffering in isolation during this pandemic.”

American Bible Society's Bible-based Trauma Healing program helps people explore their heart wounds and heal from the pain of trauma. This effective ministry approach trains facilitators to lead Healing Groups, small groups where participants engage with one another and God, using material that blends proven mental health best practices with God’s Word.
As they meet together, people in a Healing Group learn how to talk about their own pain and listen to the pain of others. In Healing Groups, people discover that they are not alone. With the strength and support of others, they experience God’s nearness and love.
